Melina Marini

Resident Physiotherapist
MScPT Candidate 2025

Melina Marini grew up in British Columbia, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with a Minor in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at the University of Toronto.

Her passion for working with children began while volunteering at the Prenatal and Postnatal Care Unit at Kelowna General Hospital, where she supported families with daily care and provided post-natal education. During her clinical training, Melina gained valuable pediatric experience at Mount Sinai’s Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic and NICU, where she supported infants and children in neurological rehabilitation following NICU admission. These experiences emphasized the importance of early intervention and family-centered care, solidifying her commitment to pediatrics. In addition, Melina has worked as a personal support worker, providing individualized care to neurodiverse individuals and those with disabilities. This experience strengthened her passion for fostering inclusion, promoting independence, and empowering children and families to grow with confidence.

Outside of the clinic, Melina enjoys hiking, skiing, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends!

Melina is excited to be joining the Footprints team and is passionate about collaborating closely with families to create meaningful strategies that support growth both in the clinic and at home.
