Sara Riazi
Registered Physiotherapist
Sara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics, followed by a Master’s degree in Biomechanics and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University.
Throughout her clinical career, Sara has developed a passion for helping children and families achieve their goals through individualized, evidence-informed care. She has experience working with pediatric populations across a variety of areas, including neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics, pelvic health, vestibular care, and concussion management. Sara has completed post-graduate training in pediatric Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), pediatric pelvic health, vestibular assessment and treatment, concussion assessment and treatment, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
Sara believes that therapy should be meaningful, engaging, and fun. She loves getting creative with her sessions and incorporating functional play-based activities to help children build skills, confidence, and independence. She is not afraid to get silly, meet children where they are, and bring her playful personality into the clinic to help create a positive and supportive therapy environment.
Sara values a collaborative, family-centred approach to physiotherapy and enjoys working closely with children, families, and healthcare providers to develop strategies that support participation and success both in the clinic and at home.
Outside of the clinic, Sara enjoys staying active through rock climbing, hiking, horseback riding, strength training and overall maintaining an active lifestyle. She also loves exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and two cats!
