Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy is a specialized area of manual therapy that involves the assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor structures: muscles, associated connective tissues, ligaments, fasciae and nerves. They play a crucial role in regulating the bladder, bowel and sexual functions. The goals are to normalize the muscles tones, prepare the pelvic floor for labour, delivery, and rehabilitate post partum.
Prenatal Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy focuses on preparing the physical state of pelvic floor complex for the delivery of the baby in order to minimize potential trauma.
