Megan Leong

Registered Physiotherapist

Megan is a practicing and registered member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO). She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia in her hometown of Vancouver where she first developed a passion for working with children through volunteering with Canuck Autism Network’s adapted soccer program. Prior to moving out east to complete her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto, she volunteered at a specialized pediatric clinic, sparking her interest in promoting functional play-based approaches in physiotherapy!

Megan continued on to complete her final clinical internship at the Hospital for Sick Children where she is currently working within various inpatient units and outpatient clinics treating conditions such as juvenile arthritis, cerebral palsy, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and various congenital and acquired orthopedic conditions. At Footprints Therapy, Megan is committed to building working relationships with families by listening to each of their stories and promoting engaging treatment sessions unique to their rehab goals. She continuously works to develop her clinical skillset and has received training in Introductory Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT) Dynamic Core for Kids. She plans to complete further certification in NDT and Ceuvas Medek Technique (CME) to bridge her passions for pediatric physiotherapy and neurological rehabilitation.

Having grown up playing basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee while also skiing and swimming the surrounding local mountains and coastlines, Megan has a lifelong passion for physical activity. She aims to incorporate her knowledge and personal experience with sports rehab into her practice to help kids return to doing what they love. When not working up a sweat, she can often be found exploring new cities and cuisines with her film camera in hand!
